DESCRIPTION: I captured the photo of this flower while walking down the side of the street. I found it growing in between a large section of weeds off a side street. Its shape was plump, full of life, almost as if it were planted on purpose because it stuck out so much. I captured it and then brought it into Photoshop. My goal was to convey its beauty in a surrealistic way. I wanted it to look like no flower ever seen before. As I created it, I was drawn to the flowers seemingly apparent pulse. I then accentuated its appearance by brightening the image with diffuse glow while also bringing up the contrast of the image. I wanted to give it an out of this world type disposition. The more I manipulated the image, the more fantastic it got. The layers of its pedals and the strength of its essence allowed me to create a new species of botanic ambiance.
